Dr. K. Uthayasuriyan, Controller of Examinations, NIET has an academic record of being a Gold medalist in UG degree BBA, University Rank Holder in PG degree M. Com, Qualified UGC NET JRF, the first PhD of Pondicherry University and Topper in UPSC Selection List of Lecturers for Government Colleges in Union Territory of Pondicherry.
He has an enriched teaching experience in various leading institutions of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. He has served as Assistant Professor CPA College Bodinayakanur, Lecturer SN College Madurai, Associate Professor KPCPGS Puducherry. Reader & Head M. S University Tirunelveli, Professor & Head Alagappa University Karaikudi and Principal Saradha Gangadharan College Puducherry.
He has a meritorious record of guiding 23 PhD awardees, one Post-Doctoral Fellow and completed two major funded projects. Also, owns a collection of publications which includes 29 articles in National Journals, 22 in International Journals and 4 in Scopus Indexed.
He has a fantabulous history of academic excellence having served as the Head Department of Commerce M.S. university, Tirunelveli, in which he introduced a twin degree programme, M. Com (specialization in Banking and Insurance) with Diploma in Office Automation which has been the first of this kind among the State Universities in Tamil Nadu.
He gained the Swachchta Award from MHRD, Govt. of India in 2017 and 2018 for Alagappa University during which he served as the Coordinator for Campus Development.
The role that carved a niche in his career is that of the Controller of Examinations Alagappa University, Karaikudi, in which he introduced E-governance in Examination Section, On Screen Marking (OSM) system which helped the University to have an end-to- end Examination Management System that automated the complete Life Cycle of Examination Management.
He has received many glorifying awards including Excellence in Academic and Administrative Award, Lifetime Achiever Award for Academic and Administration Excellence and Amity Excellence Award for the Best Professor in area of International Business. His career prospect has also enabled him to travel to countries of Sri Lanka, Singapore and Malaysia.
